Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr team ended their impressive 20-match winning streak with a 3-1 defeat to Al-Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League. Fans turned their criticism towards midfielder Marcelo Brozovic for his performance in the game.
Seeking vengeance for their previous loss to Al-Qadsiah in January, Al-Nassr faced them again without their key forward Sadio Mane, who was absent for both encounters this season.
Thanks for the submission!
Before the match, Jorge Jesus’ squad needed two victories to secure the Saudi Pro League title but were defeated at Al-Qadsiah. Fans directed their frustration at Croatian international Marcelo Brozovic, marking the team’s first league defeat since late January. Many fans took to X to express their opinions on Brozovic’s performance.
One fan attributed all three goals conceded to the veteran midfielder.
Another fan accused him of costing the team the league title.
A fan expressed anger towards the 33-year-old, also criticizing Jorge Jesus and Kingsley Coman.
Criticism was also directed at the Saudi players in the team, with Brozovic included in their comments.
Brozovic was described by one fan as “horrible,” claiming it was his worst performance ever.
Marcelo Brozovic played the entire game in midfield alongside Abdullah Al-Khaibari. He provided an assist, the only significant chance he created, but also made an error leading to a goal. He won just 25% of his duels and was dispossessed three times.

Al-Qadsiah’s Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat scored first after 23 minutes, with Joao Felix equalizing six minutes before halftime. Musab Al-Juwayr restored the lead for Al-Qadsiah in the 55th minute with his fourth league goal of the season. Julian Quinones added another in the 78th minute, moving closer to the Golden Boot at Ronaldo’s expense. Al-Nassr is now five points ahead of rivals Al-Hilal, who have a game in hand.
