Diaz and Madden are also parents to daughter Raddix, 6, and son Cardinal, 2.
The couple got married in January 2015 and welcomed their daughter, Raddix, through surrogacy in December 2019. This news was shared in early January 2020 through a joint Instagram post.
“Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are overjoyed and grateful to start this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” they stated. “She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”
“They went through so much to get to this point,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2020. “Cameron feels like this baby is truly a miracle.”
Another source said at that time, “Cameron and Benji had been trying to have a baby for a long time. There were challenges along the way, making it difficult and stressful at times. But they say it was a price worth paying. They feel beyond blessed.”
In March 2024, the couple announced the arrival of Cardinal in another joint Instagram post.
“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Maddenâ¤ď¸đ He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here! For the kids’ safety and privacy, we wonât be posting any picturesâbut heâs really cute âşď¸,” the couple shared. “We are feeling so blessed and grateful đ Sending much love from our family to yours đâ¤ď¸ Best wishes and Good Afternoon!! đ¤âĄď¸.”
In January 2025, Diaz discussed how motherhood had reshaped her perspective on her Hollywood career while promoting the Netflix comedy Back in Action. This film marked her comeback to acting after a decade-long break.
“Youâre a different person after you have children, after marriage, after building a life,” Diaz told E! News. “Everything changesâyour whole perspective, your whole world, your understanding of it. For me, I never made a movie before with a family. So, all of the boxes change that need to be checked off. Thatâs the most important, and then everything else has to line up to support that.”
