This evening, Gucci’s creative force, Demna, unveiled the resort 2027 collection in the heart of New York City, choosing the iconic Times Square as the setting. Though often shunned by locals, the bustling hub’s dazzling billboards provided an ideal, vibrant backdrop for Demna’s latest co-ed collection. The event featured notable appearances on the runway, including Paris Hilton, Tom Brady, and supermodel Cindy Crawford, who made a memorable closing.
Gucci isn’t the only major fashion label turning its spotlight on New York this month; Louis Vuitton is scheduled to present at the Frick on May 20th. Among the luminaries attending Gucci’s Times Square event were musicians such as Esdeekid, Mariah Carey, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and Shawn Mendes. The crowd also included actors like Lindsay Lohan, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, designer Marc Jacobs, and perennial fashion presence Kim Kardashian, among others.
The real excitement, however, came from witnessing the stylish Gucci ensembles worn by attendees. Lohan opted for a sleek all-black leather look, while Mendes chose classic gray tailoring. Observing the front row turned out to be as engaging—and fashionable—as the runway show itself.
