AEW World Champion Darby Allin has disclosed significant information about MJF in the lead-up to Double or Nothing. This weekend’s pay-per-view event will feature its most eagerly awaited match as the main event, where Darby and Maxwell will go head-to-head. The Relentless star will defend the AEW World Championship, while Friedman has agreed to risk his hair for a title rematch.
Following his loss of the championship, the Salt of the Earth pleaded with Allin for another chance at the title. The former TNT Champion was hesitant to accept the challenge initially, insisting that Maxwell wager something as well. After some consideration, the Devil agreed to the condition a couple of weeks ago.
Tonight, during AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin will face Mike Bailey to defend his AEW World Championship. Ahead of this contest, the Relentless star expressed confidence that MJF will find it humiliating to appear on the red carpet and conduct interviews with a bald head.
“The most vain man in this world, MJF. Once I shave him bald, every red carpet he walks, every interview he does, this being gone is gonna eat that man alive,” he said. [H/T – WrestlePurists]
Sammy Guevara attempted to purchase the AEW World Championship from Darby Allin
Last week, the Spanish God was unsuccessful in his attempt to claim the world title from the Relentless star. Earlier this week, Sammy shared a vlog on his channel. In the vlog, he attempted to buy Darby Allin’s championship for $100,000 before their match. As expected, the AEW World Champion turned down the offer.
“Whoa, dude, calm down. We got this big match today all right but we’ve done this before. You’ve beaten me, I’ve beaten you, we’ve hurt each other. Let’s not do that. It’s 2026. How about I just pay you? Then you just (motions for title, Darby slaps his hand away) 100k! I’m offering you 100k!”, he said.
The upcoming Double or Nothing event will reveal if Allin can maintain his title.
