Kien Vu began his journey with the Arizona State University baseball team as a walk-on player and quickly rose to prominence. He became a vital member of the Sun Devils, earning All-American recognition along the way.
In the 2025 MLB Draft, the Cincinnati Reds picked Vu in the 9th round. Since then, he has been diligently refining his skills in the minor leagues. Starting his professional career with the Low-A Daytona Tortugas in August, Vu was promoted to the High-A Dayton Dragons on March 31. A significant achievement in his career so far is a remarkable 30-game on-base streak he achieved between April and May.
