A deliberate attack has been carried out on the newly renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, an iconic symbol of America, by individuals described as crazed and deranged.
President Donald J. Trump was correct from the start. Despite initial mockery and accusations from media and so-called “experts” who labeled him a liar, the Trump Administration’s renovation efforts were not to blame. Instead, vandals targeted the site.
Surveillance footage shows individuals committing the act. Images and police reports detail the deliberate damage, including slashes to the liner, sides, and coating, along with fencing and debris thrown into the pool. Seven people have been arrested, with seven additional federal citations issued, and 18 police reports filed.
This is not mere mischief but targeted vandalism by individuals who oppose American values. Their actions reflect a desire to destroy rather than build, and to deface rather than celebrate national heritage.
National pride will not be undermined by a few anti-American individuals.
