The Amazon series, which centers around the college life of a closeted former high school football player and homecoming king played by Skinner, also features a talented cast including Wally Baram, Mary Beth Barone, Adam DiMarco, and Rish Shah as series regulars. Teasing Charli XCX’s performance in “Overcompensating,” Skinner hinted that it may not be what fans expect but assured that they will love it. While the show does not have an official premiere date yet, Skinner hinted that it will be released “very soonish.”
In addition to her role in “Overcompensating,” Charli XCX is set to appear in three upcoming films: the Gregg Araki thriller “I Want Your Sex,” Daniel Goldhaber’s remake of “Faces of Death,” and Julia Jackman’s adaptation of “100 Nights of Hero.”
