Given that Trump’s second administration has been marked by frequent chaos and mishaps, it seemed likely that the Independence Day celebrations could follow a similar pattern.

Trump consistently makes himself the focal point, seemingly unaware of his status as one of the least popular presidents in polling and possibly in American history.

Unlike his predecessors, Trump never enjoyed a period of widespread approval. His tenure has been consistently divisive and unpopular. When he chose to disrupt the bipartisan planning for the 250th anniversary, it was easy to predict the outcome.

Trump’s Great American State Fair encountered problems from its inception. After all musical acts withdrew, Trump positioned himself as the opening night star at an event that saw low attendance. Fox News reported large crowds at the Fair, yet their own footage revealed empty spaces. With record-setting heat in Washington, D.C., the Trump administration is now concerned about poor attendance at his upcoming Fourth of July speech.
