In the 2023 MLB Draft, Max Clark was chosen as the third overall pick by the Detroit Tigers, quickly establishing himself as one of their most promising prospects. Max Clark’s wife, Kayli, often uses her platform to advocate for mental health
Kayli Clark actively advocates for mental health awareness. Her Instagram bio reflects her commitment to this cause, and she regularly uses her platform to discuss mental health issues.
In April 2024, she shared a personal story about her own struggles with mental health.
“It started off with passing out spells the first day of summer training. little did I know that I would continue to battle these symptoms and many more. But going to the team doctor I was told it was all in my head and diagnosed as anxiety. my obvious reaction was that it must be a mistake. I mean hell there’s no way to explain a healthy athlete’s heart rate being 130 bmp resting to 250 bmp training.
“After many months and tests later and a doctor who finally listened and advocated for me, I was diagnosed with POTs or Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. I write this not only to inform others but bringing awareness for the importance in advocating for your health. Advocating for yourself does not make you crazy or a mental case as I was called by so many. In the end, Mental Health is Health,” Kayli Clark posted.
Max and Kayli exchanged vows on December 13.
