Four People Robbed and Carjacked in the Loop

Chicago police are currently investigating a disturbing incident that occurred in the Loop on Sunday evening. Four individuals, including a 31-year-old woman and men aged 40, 41, and 44, were victims of a robbery and carjacking in the first block of South LaSalle around 6:46 p.m.

According to a Chicago police spokesperson, three men arrived in a blue Kia and brandished firearms while demanding the victims’ belongings. During the altercation, one of the robbers struck the female victim in the chest with a gun before stealing her valuables.

Following the robbery, two of the offenders fled in the victims’ red Porsche 911, heading north on LaSalle, while the third suspect followed in the blue Kia Soul. The hijacked Porsche was later found abandoned by law enforcement, but as of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the crime.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were dissatisfied with the lack of accurate information provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Over the years, our coverage area has expanded to include neighborhoods like Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side areas. Despite this growth, our core mission remains unchanged: to deliver original public safety reporting with enhanced context and comprehensive detail compared to mainstream media sources.
