Lala Kent Opens Up About Coparenting with Randall Emmett
Lala Kent recently discussed coparenting her daughter Ocean with her former fiancé, Randall Emmett. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Kent, 34, shared that she and Emmett, 53, have found common ground when it comes to caring for their four-year-old daughter.
“We have come to a place where, it’s like, we have one thing in common and that is this child and what is best for her and you have productive conversations,” Kent told Cohen. “It’s not always golden.”
The Vanderpump Rules star, who got engaged to Emmett, a film producer, in 2018 and welcomed Ocean in March 2021, explained that she has made peace with the challenges of coparenting.
“I’m, like, a really fun ride, you know, I’ll take you on a rollercoaster. One day we’re good and then the next day he pisses me off,” Kent said. “It’s all good. We always come back to Ocean and her wellbeing.”
Kent and Emmett called off their engagement in 2021, with reports suggesting that the decision was made by Kent due to a lack of trust in the relationship. The announcement came one month after breakup rumors surfaced when Kent “liked” a meme about Emmett allegedly cheating on her and deleted photos of him from her social media.
In March 2022, Kent publicly accused Emmett of cheating, stating that he started a relationship with a 23-year-old in March 2021, the same month she gave birth to their daughter. Despite the challenges, Kent has been focused on coparenting Ocean and finding happiness in raising her two young children.
Kent’s journey as a mother has been documented on social media, with heartfelt posts about her daughters. In a recent Instagram post, Kent reflected on the birth of her second child, Sosa, expressing her overwhelming love for her newborn.
The positive turn in Kent’s family life shows her resilience and dedication to her children. Despite the ups and downs of coparenting with Emmett, Kent remains focused on providing a loving and stable environment for her daughters. Her openness about the challenges she faces serves as a reminder of the strength and determination required in navigating the complexities of coparenting. In today’s fast-paced world, it can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From work deadlines to social commitments, it can feel like there’s never enough time in the day to relax and unwind. However, taking the time to slow down and practice self-care is crucial for our mental and physical well-being.
Self-care is defined as any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. This can include anything from taking a long bath to going for a walk in nature, or even just spending time with loved ones. The key is to prioritize activities that make us feel happy, relaxed, and rejuvenated.
One of the most important aspects of self-care is setting boundaries. This means knowing when to say no to things that don’t serve us, and prioritizing our own needs and well-being. By setting boundaries, we can avoid burnout and ensure that we have the energy and motivation to tackle life’s challenges.
Another important aspect of self-care is practicing mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment and observing our thoughts and feelings without judgment. By practicing mindfulness, we can reduce stress and anxiety, and improve our overall mental health.
In addition to setting boundaries and practicing mindfulness, self-care also involves taking care of our physical health. This can include eating a balanced diet, getting regular exercise, and getting enough sleep. By taking care of our bodies, we can ensure that we have the energy and vitality to live our best lives.
Overall, self-care is an essential practice for maintaining our mental and physical well-being in today’s busy world. By prioritizing activities that make us feel happy and rejuvenated, setting boundaries, practicing mindfulness, and taking care of our physical health, we can ensure that we have the energy and motivation to tackle life’s challenges head-on. So take some time for yourself today and practice self-care – your mind and body will thank you for it.
