Samsung appears to be aiming for a competitive edge with its Galaxy S27 series, set for release in 2027.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will not only feature Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon processor but also integrate UFS 5.0 storage. Samsung recently unveiled this new storage standard, which is expected to enter mass production later this year.

WTF is UFS?
Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 5.0 introduces a new level of internal storage, boasting read speeds up to 10.8Gbps and write speeds reaching 9.5Gbps, significantly surpassing the current UFS 4.1 standard in performance.
The primary advantage of this increased speed is anticipated to enhance the execution of on-device AI tasks, resulting in noticeably quicker performance.
Additionally, the new standard promises a 40% improvement in power efficiency, which should positively impact battery life.
Moreover, the UFS 5.0 is 16.7% smaller than its predecessor, potentially offering more space for other components, such as larger batteries.
