Nevertheless, I am eagerly anticipating its probable launch in March 2027 more than the Pixel 11 series, despite a potential drawback.
No chipset compromise?
The leak that sparked this discussion is the most intriguing yet.
According to Mystic Leaks, who has a reliable history with Pixel news, the Pixel 11a will feature Google’s Tensor G6 chipset—the same one anticipated across the Pixel 11 lineup.
Although not confirmed, this could be a significant development for the Pixel 11a. Recall that the Pixel 10a retained its predecessor’s Tensor G4 chip, so this would represent a substantial two-generation leap.

The Tensor G6 is poised to be among the first smartphone chips using a 2nm process, outpacing even Qualcomm. Compared to the 4nm Tensor G4, it is expected to deliver substantial improvements in battery efficiency and overheating—two common issues with the Pixel 10a.
