Priced at just £299, this tablet offers an affordable alternative, significantly cheaper than the least expensive standard iPad by more than £100. Additionally, it includes an optional Matte Glass model, which has been a key focus of my testing.
Things I Love
The Matte Glass version, as termed by Xiaomi, stands out as my preferred feature of this tablet. The screen’s paper-like appearance and texture are superb, imparting a premium feel. It significantly reduces glare compared to a typical glossy screen and is highly resistant to fingerprints.
This feature is uncommon, with few brands offering it even as an optional addition. At £359, this model is an excellent choice for those seeking a tablet with a matte screen. Additionally, it boasts a 2.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, unlike the entry-level iPad.

It is important to note that there is no option for different colors or storage capacities; it is only available in Graphite Gray with 8/256GB. Although this might be disappointing for those who prefer Lavender Purple or Silver, it is a minor trade-off.
Aside from the color options, the design is clean and simple, and the build quality is commendable with a metal unibody casing.
Complementing the screen are quad speakers—two on each side in landscape orientation—which deliver excellent sound quality. The audio is rich and expansive, particularly when Dolby Atmos mode is activated.
