Sean Penn, 65, and Robin Wright, 60, began their relationship in the late 1980s. Before getting married in 1996, they welcomed two children: daughter Dylan Frances, now 35, and son Hopper Jack, now 33.
In 2007, Wright officially filed for divorce. Despite several reconciliations, the divorce was finalized in 2010 after a tumultuous few years.
In a 2014 interview with the Telegraph, Wright reflected on the challenges of divorce, especially with children involved, saying, “Divorce in and of itself, and with children, is devastating. One of the reasons why we got back together and broke up so much was trying to keep the family together. If you’ve got kids, it’s a family, and you try again, and you try again.”
Years later, reports emerged that the Milk actor attempted to rekindle a romance with Wright following her divorce filing from her third husband, Clément Giraudet, a Saint Laurent executive.
