“Hacks,” “The Pitt,” and “Beef” emerged as the standout winners at the 2026 Astra TV Awards.
“The Pitt” led the evening with six awards, including best drama series, streaming drama ensemble, and actor in a drama series for Noah Wyle. Other accolades went to Patrick Ball for supporting actor in a drama series, Sepideh Moafi for supporting actress, and Tal Anderson for guest actress in a drama series.
“Hacks” secured multiple comedy awards, such as best comedy series. Jean Smart was honored as best actress in a comedy series, while Hannah Einbinder received the supporting actress award. Lucia Aniello’s direction of the final episode also earned recognition. Additionally, “Shrinking” won awards for best streaming comedy ensemble, with Jason Segel as best actor in a comedy series, Harrison Ford as supporting actor, and Michael J. Fox as guest actor.
“Beef” excelled in the limited series and TV movie categories, collecting five awards, including best limited series. Oscar Isaac was awarded best actor in a limited series, and Charles Melton was recognized as supporting actor. Director Lee Sung Jin was celebrated for the episode “Oh, The Comfort, The Inexpressible Comfort.”
In other notable wins, Keri Russell was named best actress in a drama series for “The Diplomat.” Macaulay Culkin received the guest actor award in a drama series for “Fallout.” Vince Gilligan’s script for “Pluribus,” particularly the episode “We Is Us,” won for best writing in a drama series. Christina Ricci was honored as guest actress in a comedy series for “Wednesday,” and “The Comeback” was awarded for writing in a comedy series, with Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King acknowledged for the episode “Valerie Does It All.”
In the nonfiction and variety programming categories, “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” was awarded best talk or variety series, while “The Muppet Show” took home the trophy for best stand-up or variety special. “John Candy: I Like Me” was recognized as the best documentary TV movie, and “Lost Women of Alaska” won for best docuseries or nonfiction series.
“Tonight’s winners showcase the remarkable talent and storytelling that continue to make television such a dynamic medium,” said Matt Weis, EVP of the Astra Awards, in a statement. “We are thrilled to honor both established icons and new voices who have entertained and connected with audiences over the past year.”
The Astra Awards are determined by votes from the Hollywood Creative Alliance, recognizing the top achievements in television from the past year. Special achievement awards were previously announced for Troy Kotsur, William H. Macy, Cedric the Entertainer, Jason Ritter, Shawn Hatosy, and Natalie Alyn Lind.
