Best-selling fantasy author Sarah J. Maas has unveiled the titles for the sixth and seventh books in her popular “A Court of Thorns and Roses” series.
The new additions continue the saga of the Archeron sisters—Feyre, Nesta, and Elain—as they navigate their lives in the magical realm of Prythian. The series currently includes five books: “A Court of Thorns and Roses,” “A Court of Mist and Fury,” “A Court of Wings and Ruin,” “A Court of Frost and Starlight,” and “A Court of Silver Flames.”
The sixth book, titled “A Court of Splintered Harmony,” is set for release on October 27, while the seventh book, “A Court of Forgotten Melody,” will be available on January 12, 2027. Both titles will be published by Bloomsbury.
These books form part of “The Valkyrie Cycle,” with the sixth book designated as “Movement I” and the seventh as “Movements II and III.” Brief descriptions have been shared: “A Court of Splintered Harmony” is accompanied by the line “What was broken will be remade,” and “A Court of Forgotten Melody” carries the synopsis “What was lost will be reclaimed.”
Mass shared the news of the titles and covers through Instagram posts, while digital billboards displayed the announcement in Los Angeles, Denver, and New York City.
In 2021, a TV series adaptation of “ACOTAR” was initiated by Disney’s 20th Television and Hulu, with Ronald D. Moore as the showrunner in collaboration with Maas. However, the project was discontinued in February 2025 due to creative differences, and the rights have since returned to Maas.
In addition to “A Court of Thorns and Roses,” Maas has achieved best-selling status with her “Throne of Glass” and “Crescent City” series, which collectively have sold over 85 million copies in English and are available in 40 languages.
Below are the covers for the sixth and seventh books in the “A Court of Thorns and Roses” series.
