Critics Rip Trump After His Weirdest AI Slop Post Yet

President Donald Trump has taken his use of AI to new heights with an unusual post featuring President George Washington to promote his envisioned extensive White House ballroom.

The AI-generated video depicts Trump and Washington silently touring the ballroom, making gestures toward the surroundings. Notably, two large American flags with incorrect stripe counts hang on the wall behind them.

On Sunday, Trump captioned the video, “Thank you, George, for some of your brilliant ideas on this great Military Complex/Ballroom! President DJT.”

Throughout the weekend, he shared the AI video and still images of himself alongside the nation’s first president in the ballroom multiple times.

In his post, Trump referred to the ballroom as his “military complex/ballroom.” This designation was recently introduced in response to significant criticism over the ballroom’s extravagant nature and ongoing lawsuits aiming to halt its construction. Describing the ballroom as a “military complex” may assist him in making a national security argument for the facility in court.

Trump initially promised that private donors would cover the costs of the ballroom, ensuring taxpayers would not contribute. However, expenses have surged to an estimated $600 million, with U.S. taxpayers now responsible for half of that amount.

Critics have expressed outrage over the president’s focus on an expensive party venue amid ongoing issues such as conflict with Iran, rising prices, trade disputes, and other national crises.
