The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is seeking to add a new charge of solicitation to commit murder against an Aurora dentist who is accused of poisoning his wife to death. This announcement comes after the man’s murder trial was postponed due to his attorney resigning unexpectedly.
James Craig, aged 46, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the poisoning death of his wife, Angela Craig, aged 43. Angela passed away on March 18, 2023, from toxic levels of cyanide and tetrahydrozoline, a decongestant commonly found in over-the-counter eye drops.
On Friday, the district attorney’s office filed a motion to include charges of solicitation to commit first-degree murder and solicitation to commit perjury in the ongoing criminal case against James Craig.
As of Friday afternoon, the specific details of the new charges outlined in the motion were not readily accessible.
Aside from the murder charge, James Craig is also facing accusations of tampering with evidence and soliciting perjury. Allegations state that he attempted to persuade two individuals, including his own daughter, to conceal evidence related to the case following his arrest.
