As autumn typically signals the return of black turtlenecks and camel coats, Chelsea Hansford is taking a different approach. For Simon Miller’s fall 2026 collection, Hansford embraced a vivid color palette, favoring bold and bright hues. “Color is a huge part of Simon Miller, so we wanted to lean into that and go a step further into the effect that color has, physically and emotionally,” she explained. “We’re a playful luxury brand and, ultimately, our expression is optimism.”
Simon Miller thrives in its spring and pre-fall collections with vibrant resort wear. However, Hansford faces the task of integrating her summery style into autumn attire. A sandy, faux suede fringed jacket paired with a grommet-adorned miniskirt offers a Southern Californian twist to cooler weather. Additionally, Hansford embraced stripes, combining bright primary colors with autumnal blacks and browns, and championed bold fall fashion with a yellow-and-red plaid sweater.
Fringe continues to be a signature element in Simon Miller’s collections. The fall 2026 lineup, which extends into the holiday season, includes flowing, colorful midi dresses, party-ready sets trimmed with gold tinsel, and more winter-appropriate coats.
Meanwhile, Simon Miller is increasingly establishing a presence in the accessories market. Hansford highlighted the success of a fringed clutch, available in black and olive green, which has quickly become popular. “We sold 130 units over the weekend on pre-order,” she noted. For Simon Miller, selling 30 units of a bag in a week would be a triumph, so achieving 130 in three days is particularly promising. As Hansford expressed, “I’m very excited to say it’s our next ‘It’ bag.”
