Where do you stand in the summer shorts debate? Are you aligned with Charli’s “Team Itty Bitty,” the “Big Shorts Brigade,” or do you follow the jorts trend like J-Law and Margot Robbie? Amidst this fashion discussion, Rihanna chooses to remain timeless with her choice of a denim mini-skirt.
The singer and beauty entrepreneur was seen departing the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City alongside partner A$AP Rocky and their children on Friday. She sported a dark-wash denim skirt by Danish designer Meryll Rogge, complete with exposed pockets and raw hems. Complementing this nostalgic piece, she wore a candy pink Miu Miu track jacket with a popped collar, reminiscent of the early 2000s, and her favorite Amina Muaddi snakeskin strappy sandals. Known for her love of animal prints, Rihanna’s look stays true to her style whether she’s on the red carpet or heading to Giorgio Baldi. Her signature accessories included a gold choker, gold and diamond earrings, and rose-tinted aviator sunglasses.
In true Rihanna fashion, her hair was styled in voluminous curls, paired with a blood-red manicure, white pedicure, and a glossed brown lip.

The denim mini-skirt has been gradually staging a comeback. Its resurgence can be linked to the revival of indie sleaze style, originally popularized by brands like Diesel, Miss Sixty, FCUK, and Cheap Monday. Recently, Jonathan Anderson featured the denim mini in his debut womenswear collection for Dior, a look embraced by Jenna Ortega, who styled it with a military jacket-vest of the same era.
