New Zealand’s All Blacks faced a tough challenge against Italy, ultimately securing a 29-11 victory to close out their autumn series.
Expectations were high for the All Blacks to bounce back after their recent loss to France, but Italy proved to be a formidable opponent. Despite Italy’s recent struggles against Argentina and Georgia, they initially took the lead with a 6-3 advantage.
However, the All Blacks rallied, scoring two tries before halftime courtesy of Cam Roigard and Will Jordan, both converted by Beauden Barrett. This put New Zealand ahead 17-6 at the break.
Italy showed resilience in the second half, applying pressure on the All Blacks’ defense. Mark Tele’a extended New Zealand’s lead with a try, but Italy responded with a try from Tommaso Menoncello. Beauden Barrett sealed the victory with a late try for the All Blacks.
