Woman Boards Flight to Paris Without Boarding Pass
During the Thanksgiving travel rush, a woman managed to bypass airport security in New York without a boarding pass and board a flight to Paris, where she was apprehended.
Delta Air Lines flight 264 took off from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York en route to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on Tuesday. The stowaway went unnoticed during boarding, according to reports from various media outlets.
A spokesperson from the Transportation Security Administration confirmed that the individual bypassed security checks and managed to board the aircraft without a boarding pass.
The TSA stated that they will be reviewing the incident at JFK’s travel document checker station to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Passenger Rob Jackson recalled an announcement onboard the flight in Paris, informing passengers to remain seated as police would be boarding the aircraft to address the stowaway.
Delta Air Lines announced that they are conducting a thorough investigation in collaboration with aviation stakeholders and law enforcement.
