Three former employees of a cemetery in Tennessee caused chaos and destruction after being fired from their jobs. The trio went on a rampage at New Park Cemetery in Memphis, driving a company truck and knocking over a shocking 170 tombstones in a disturbing act of vandalism.

The owner of the cemetery, Jeff Roberts, was left in shock and disbelief as he witnessed the senseless destruction of the tombstones. He immediately sprang into action, trying to stop the disgruntled employees from causing any more damage. Unfortunately, by the time he intervened, the damage had already been done, with tens of thousands of dollars worth of destruction left in their wake.

Roberts wasted no time in alerting a monument supplier to prepare for an emergency order of replacement tombstones. He also hired temporary crews to work tirelessly to set all the damaged tombstones right before Christmas, ensuring that the families affected by this heartless act would not have to endure any more pain during the holiday season.

Despite the devastation caused by the fired employees, Roberts made the compassionate decision not to press charges against them. He expressed concern that pressing charges could escalate the situation and potentially lead to more damage being done. Instead, he focused on reaching out to the families affected by the destruction, offering his condolences and support during this difficult time.

Each of the toppled headstones cost approximately $1,000 to replace, adding up to a significant financial burden for the cemetery. However, Roberts remained committed to restoring the cemetery to its former state and ensuring that the families of those buried there would not have to bear the brunt of the employees’ actions.

In conclusion, the shocking incident at New Park Cemetery serves as a stark reminder of the importance of respect and reverence for the deceased. The callous actions of the fired employees have caused immeasurable pain and suffering to the families of those buried in the cemetery. As the community comes together to repair the damage and support those affected, it is essential to remember the value of honoring the memory of the departed with dignity and respect.
