A Georgia woman has admitted to embezzling $10,000 that was raised for the family of Mica Miller, the wife of a South Carolina pastor who tragically took her own life earlier this year. Susan Lynn Nelson confessed to her actions in a live TikTok video, calling her behavior “absolutely vile.” She acknowledged using the money, which was raised through online auctions, for her personal expenses such as buying alcohol, making mortgage payments, and paying for groceries.

Nelson denied allegations that she used the funds to hire a sex worker, but admitted to only sending $180 of the $15,000 raised to Miller’s parents. She described her actions as “pretty sh–ty” and stated that she is seeking treatment for her issues. Nelson claimed that defrauding people has become a habit for her and that she no longer has the funds in question.

Mica Miller, 30, took her own life on April 27, just days after serving her husband, Pastor John-Paul Miller, with divorce papers. She had accused him of grooming her from a young age and had made multiple calls to the police alleging abusive behavior. The police ruled her death a suicide.

Miller’s family is urging anyone who contributed money to contact the FBI. If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts or experiencing a mental health crisis, you can call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 988 for help.
