On Black Friday, chaos erupted at Park Plaza Mall in Arkansas as two individuals were injured in a shooting incident. Little Rock Police swiftly responded to the report of an active shooter at the mall around 1:44 p.m.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found one victim with injuries at the scene, who was promptly transported to a local hospital. Another victim arrived at a different medical facility with gunshot wounds. Initially, the police department reported three victims, but later clarified on social media that there were two individuals affected by the shooting.

Police Chief Heath Helton commended the quick response of the officers in securing the area and ensuring public safety. He expressed solidarity with the victims’ families and emphasized the department’s dedication to holding those responsible for the senseless act accountable.

As of now, a suspect has not been identified in connection with the shooting. Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. condemned the violence and praised the first responders for their actions in handling the situation.
