A horrifying incident took place at the Kosciuszko Street station in Brooklyn on Sunday morning when a 43-year-old man was randomly shoved onto the subway tracks by a woman in a gray trench coat. The victim was standing on the southbound platform when his assailant suddenly pushed him onto the tracks of the J train around 9 a.m., according to the NYPD and police sources.

Thankfully, there was no train approaching at that time, and the victim, identified as Morales, sustained minor injuries from the fall. He managed to climb back onto the platform by himself and was later taken to Woodhull Hospital in stable condition for further evaluation.

The suspect, described as a woman in a long gray coat, fled the scene after the incident and is currently being sought by law enforcement. The motive behind the unprovoked attack remains unclear, and investigators are working to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.

This disturbing assault serves as a reminder of the dangers that can lurk in public spaces, even during daylight hours. The victim’s quick thinking and resilience in climbing back to safety undoubtedly saved him from more serious harm. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.

The Kosciuszko Street station, located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, is a busy transit hub for commuters traveling throughout Brooklyn. Incidents like these underscore the need for vigilance and awareness of one’s surroundings, even in seemingly safe environments. The NYPD is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors in the city, and incidents of violence like this will not be tolerated.
