Armed Robbery Spree Hits Three Stores in Chicago

CHICAGO — Four armed men carried out a series of robberies at three stores in Chicago in under 90 minutes on Friday morning. The suspects assaulted an employee and a customer during the incidents, according to the Chicago Police Department.

According to a community alert issued by CPD, the suspects were seen driving a gray Kia Sorrento as they committed the robberies. The spree began at 7-Eleven located at 2600 North Lincoln in Lincoln Park. The masked and gloved suspects, armed with guns, demanded the cashier to open the cash register at around 2:21 a.m.

The suspects proceeded to rob two more stores within a short timeframe, displaying a brazen disregard for public safety. CPD is urging anyone with information about the incidents or the suspects to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Community members are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities to help prevent further crimes in the area.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were concerned about the lack of accurate information provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage has since expanded to include various North Side areas, but our commitment to delivering in-depth public safety reporting remains unchanged.
