Liam Payne’s tragic fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires was witnessed by a hotel guest, Bret Watson, who was at the CasaSur Palermo for his wedding. The haunting experience has left Bret deeply affected, as he recounts the events in our new documentary, “TMZ Presents: Liam Payne: Who’s to Blame?” airing on FOX tonight at 8 PM ET and streaming on Hulu starting Tuesday.
Bret recalls being in a room on the first floor of the hotel with his wedding planner when they saw Liam in free fall from the balcony. The sound of Liam’s body hitting the ground was even more chilling than the fall itself, leaving Bret emotionally scarred.
Throughout the day, Bret and other wedding guests noticed Liam’s increasing intoxication and erratic behavior. The last encounter hotel staff had with Liam involved carrying him to his room, where they left him alone. Shortly after, Liam fell from the balcony to his death.
Roger Nores, Liam’s friend, has a different account of the events leading up to Liam’s fall. Nores, whom prosecutors want to charge with abandonment, insists that Liam was in good spirits and only slightly intoxicated when he last saw him. However, official documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Liam was seeking cocaine earlier in the day, even texting Nores for a supply.
Another individual, Braian Paiz, a waiter at the hotel, is facing charges for supplying drugs to Liam. Paiz admits to visiting Liam twice during his stay, where they drank whiskey and did cocaine. He claims Liam did not pay him for the drugs.
The conflicting accounts and evidence surrounding Liam Payne’s tragic demise raise questions about who is ultimately responsible. “TMZ Investigates: Liam Payne: Who’s to Blame?” delves into the details of the case and airs tonight at 8 PM ET on Fox.
