Neil Cavuto, a veteran anchor at Fox News since its inception in 1996, has announced his departure from the cable news network. According to sources familiar with the situation, Cavuto declined a new contract offered by Fox News, as his current contract was set to expire at the end of 2024. Cavuto has been instrumental in overseeing business news content for both Fox News and Fox Business Network, as well as leading special events coverage.
In a statement, a representative for Fox News Media praised Cavuto’s illustrious career, calling it a “master class in journalism” and acknowledging his 28-year tenure with the network. The representative expressed pride in Cavuto’s contributions to defining business news and setting industry standards, and wished him the best in his future endeavors.
Currently, Cavuto anchors “Your World” on Fox News on weekdays from 4-5pm, “Cavuto Coast to Coast” on Fox Business Network on weekdays from 12-1pm, and “Cavuto Live” on Saturdays from 10am-12pm. With Cavuto’s departure, Fox News Media plans to announce new programming in the coming year to fill his timeslots. In the interim, “Your World” will be hosted by rotating anchors on Fox News, while “Coast to Coast” on FBN will transition to “Fox Business Live” with rotating hosts. Additionally, “Cavuto Live” on Saturdays will be rebranded as “Fox News Live” with rotating anchors.
Stay tuned for updates on the new programming changes at Fox News and Fox Business Network as the network adjusts to Cavuto’s departure. “More to come” as the transition unfolds.
Thank God he is finally leaving Fox. Unfair in his reporting.
