The Toronto Raptors will be without Scottie Barnes in their upcoming game against the Miami Heat due to an ankle injury he sustained in their previous game against the New York Knicks. The injury occurred in the third quarter when Barnes landed on Karl-Anthony Towns’ foot while attempting to block a shot. Despite the injury, Barnes managed to put up 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists before leaving the game.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charnia, Barnes is expected to miss several weeks due to the right ankle injury. This will be the second extended absence for Barnes this season, as he previously missed 11 games earlier in the season due to an orbital fracture. The Raptors struggled during his previous absence, going 2-9 without him, and currently sit at 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 7-18 record.

In addition to Barnes, the Raptors will also be without Bruce Brown (knee) and Immanuel Quickley (left elbow) for the upcoming game against the Heat. Barnes has faced the Miami Heat 11 times in the regular season, with a record of 6-5 and averaging 18.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in those games.

The game between the Raptors and the Heat is scheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. EST at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. Fans can watch the game locally on FanDuel Sports Network Sun and SN Now, or stream it live on NBA League Pass and FuboTV with active subscriptions.

As the Raptors prepare to face the Heat without Barnes, they will need to rely on their depth to overcome the absence of their star player. It will be a challenging matchup, but the team will look to put up a strong performance and secure a much-needed win. Stay tuned for more updates on Barnes’ recovery and the Raptors’ performance in upcoming games.
