“Daughter of Ruins,” released on October 8th, is set in the aftermath of World War II and follows the intertwined stories of three women: Elena, a sex worker; Maria, a mail-order bride; and Demitra, a young artist. As they navigate their way through the challenges of their time, they strive to shape their own destinies and become the women they are destined to be.
In a recent interview with Variety, Corporon expressed her excitement at the possibility of her book being adapted for television. She believes that the story’s exotic locations, rich symbolism, complex characters, and universal themes make it ideal for a multi-part series.
