Google CEO Sundar Pichai Sets High Stakes for 2025

In a recent strategy meeting, CEO Sundar Pichai shared his thoughts on the importance of the upcoming year for Google. According to CNBC, Pichai emphasized that 2025 will be a critical year for the company, urging employees to internalize the urgency of the moment and move faster to stay ahead in the tech industry.

During the meeting, Pichai and other executives donned ugly holiday sweaters as they outlined their priorities for 2025. Pichai specifically mentioned the significance of investing in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, highlighting the need for Google to catch up in this area. He pointed out the success of the Gemini app, powered by the company’s AI model of the same name, but also acknowledged the need to close the gap and establish a leadership position in AI by 2025.

“Scaling Gemini on the consumer side will be our biggest focus next year,” Pichai stated, emphasizing the company’s commitment to expanding the reach and impact of its AI technologies.
