The local mosque in terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar’s Houston community advises against media contact

The mosque in Shamsud-Din Jabbar’s neighborhood in Houston has issued a statement urging its members not to engage with the media following the heinous attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans that resulted in the death of 14 individuals.

Located within walking distance of Jabbar’s residence, Masjid Bilal emphasized the importance of unity in condemning the tragic events. The mosque advised congregants to redirect any inquiries from the FBI to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) if necessary.

The White House’s decision to sever ties with CAIR last year due to controversial statements made by its co-founder has raised questions about the organization’s credibility. CAIR was also recently ordered by a judge to disclose its funding sources following a failed defamation lawsuit.

While it remains unclear if Jabbar had any ties to Masjid Bilal, his association with extremist ideologies, as evidenced by the display of an ISIS flag on his truck and online allegiance pledges, has sparked concerns within the community.

The mosque issued a statement regarding the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans.
