The devastating Southern California fires have prompted major entertainment companies to step up and support relief efforts. The Walt Disney Company has pledged $15 million towards response and rebuilding, emphasizing their commitment to the community and employees affected by the ongoing crisis. CEO Bob Iger highlighted the company’s roots in Los Angeles and expressed pride in providing assistance during this time of need.

Paramount has also joined in the effort, donating $1 million to organizations such as the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, Red Cross, and more. The CAA Foundation has launched the SoCal Fire Fund in collaboration with other organizations to provide support to those impacted by the fires.

Both Disney and Paramount have expressed gratitude to firefighters, first responders, and their own employees for their dedication during this challenging time. Disney has announced support for essential services on the ground, while Paramount has shared resources for impacted employees and encouraged donations to their employee assistance fund.

The entertainment industry as a whole is expected to continue offering support to those affected by the fires. The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) has activated a program to channel public donations to frontline workers and displaced families. Apple has also pledged support, and actress Jamie Lee Curtis and her family have pledged $1 million to establish a fund for wildfire victims.

The wildfires have caused widespread destruction, with over 20,000 acres burned in Pacific Palisades and Malibu alone. Events and productions in the Los Angeles area have been affected, with cancellations and rescheduling of premieres and award shows. The industry has come together to support those in need and ensure the safety and well-being of all those impacted by the fires.
