Real Madrid’s Galacticos have yet to truly click as a unit, leaving fans and analysts alike scratching their heads at what could be going wrong for the defending champions.

Looking ahead

Despite the loss in the Spanish Super Cup final, it’s clear that both Barcelona and Real Madrid have plenty to play for in the remainder of the season. Barcelona will be looking to build on their recent successes under Flick and push for more silverware, while Real Madrid will need to regroup and find a way to get their star-studded attack firing on all cylinders once again.

As for Flick, the German manager will no doubt be pleased with his first trophy at Barcelona, but he will also know that there is still work to be done if they are to compete on all fronts. With the likes of Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo in their ranks, Real Madrid have the talent to turn their season around, but it will require a collective effort from the entire team.

Overall, the Spanish Super Cup final was a thrilling encounter that showcased the best and worst of both Barcelona and Real Madrid this season. It remains to be seen how the rest of the campaign will unfold for both clubs, but one thing is for certain – the battle for Spanish football supremacy is far from over.

Real Madrid has been riding high this season, with a strong start in both La Liga and the Champions League. However, it seems like their luck may have finally run out. The recent defeat against Levante in La Liga has exposed some glaring weaknesses in the team, which could cost them dearly in their quest for trophies this season.

One of the main issues that Madrid has been facing is their lack of balance on the field. While their attack has been firing on all cylinders, their defense has been leaky and vulnerable. This imbalance was evident in the match against Levante, where Madrid conceded three goals in a shocking defeat.

Another problem for Madrid has been their over-reliance on certain key players. While stars like Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior have been in fine form, the rest of the team has struggled to step up when needed. This lack of depth and consistency could prove to be their downfall as the season progresses.

Furthermore, injuries have also started to pile up for Madrid, with key players like Sergio Ramos and Eden Hazard sidelined. This has further exposed their lack of squad depth and could hamper their chances of competing on multiple fronts.

Overall, it feels like the other shoe has finally dropped for Madrid. The cracks in their armor have been exposed, and unless they address these issues quickly, they could be in danger of missing out on silverware this season. It will be interesting to see how they bounce back from this setback and whether they can overcome their imbalances to get back on track in their pursuit of glory.
