Neil Gaiman has recently addressed the allegations of sexual assault made against him in a New York Magazine cover story, vehemently denying any wrongdoing. In a statement posted on his personal blog, Gaiman stated, “I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever.”

While acknowledging his shortcomings in personal relationships, Gaiman maintained his innocence regarding the allegations of sexual assault. The author expressed regret for not being as thoughtful as he should have been in past relationships but refuted any claims of non-consensual behavior.

The allegations against Gaiman first surfaced in a podcast by Tortoise Media, where two women accused him of sexual assault. The NY Mag article further amplified these allegations by interviewing eight women who shared similar experiences with the author. The accusers described instances of non-consensual sexual activity, including rough sex and BDSM activities that were not consented to beforehand.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Gaiman has continued to deny all allegations and assert that all his relations were consensual. The fallout from the allegations has impacted some of his film and TV projects, with changes made to the production of “Good Omens” and the cancellation of “Dead Boy Detectives.”

In his full statement, Gaiman expressed a desire to address the circulating stories about him and acknowledged the need for self-reflection and growth. He emphasized that he is committed to doing the necessary work to improve himself and regain the trust of his readers and loved ones.

As Gaiman navigates the fallout from the allegations, he remains steadfast in his denial of any non-consensual sexual activity and vows to uphold the truth despite the challenges he faces. The author’s future projects, including “The Sandman” Season 2 and “Anansi Boys,” are still expected to proceed as planned.
