Over 300 members of the New York State Republican Party have gathered at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC for Donald Trump’s historic inauguration. State GOP leaders and officials are filled with excitement and optimism about the party’s future.
State GOP Chairman Ed Cox marked the end of a Democratic era and emphasized the need for continued fight and support for President Trump’s agenda.
Lee Zeldin, Trump’s pick for EPA Administrator and the GOP’s potential candidate for New York governor in 2022, expressed his enthusiasm for supporting President Trump’s agenda.
Zeldin and other leaders emphasized the importance of building on Trump’s victory and making further progress in New York.
Looking ahead to the 2026 elections, New York Republicans are eyeing a chance to take back the governorship from Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul.
