Gunman Robs Two Individuals in Bucktown Alley
On a busy Saturday evening, a gunman targeted two individuals in an alley just steps away from one of Bucktown’s bustling intersections.
According to the Chicago Police Department, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were approached by a man wielding a gun in the alley behind the 1600 block of North Milwaukee at around 6:12 p.m. The assailant demanded their belongings, to which they complied. He fled on foot heading south shortly after the robbery.
Law enforcement officials were able to track down one of the stolen items and recover a significant portion of the victims’ property in the 1400 block of North Leavitt. Among the retrieved items were a Sony camera and a tote bag.
Descriptions provided by the victims identified the robber as a Black male, potentially in his 40s, dressed in a gray hoodie.
