Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem participated in the first deportation raids in New York City under President Trump’s administration on Tuesday. She praised ICE for removing “dirtbags off the streets” shortly after taking office.
After a successful early morning operation, Secretary Noem shared photos of herself wearing an ICE vest alongside heavily armed officers. She posted updates on X, stating, “We are fulfilling President @realDonaldTrump’s promise to make our streets safe. Live from NYC this morning. I’m on it.”
Secretary Noem later shared footage of one of the initial raids, highlighting a criminal alien facing kidnapping, assault, and burglary charges. She thanked US Immigration and Customs Enforcement for apprehending the criminal.
“Individuals like this criminal will continue to be taken off our streets,” she emphasized.
Noem posted multiple images of well-equipped and armed officers, expressing gratitude to DHS, ICE, the Secret Service, the US Drug Enforcement Administration, US Marshals, and the NYPD Special Operations unit for their collaboration in the operation.
