Police Search for Suspect Accused of Raping 5-Year-Old Girl in Staten Island
Authorities in Staten Island are on the lookout for Dominique Giles, a 30-year-old man who allegedly raped a 5-year-old girl inside a residence near Richmond Terrace and Sharpe Avenue in Port Richmond. The incident took place on January 22 around 5:38 a.m., with the victim being known to the suspect.
Following the assault, Giles fled the scene on foot. The young girl was taken to Richmond University Medical Center for evaluation by medical professionals.
Prior to this incident, Giles had a history of violence. In April, he was arrested for choking and assaulting his girlfriend in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of Staten Island. Charges against him included felony criminal mischief of property and assault.
The NYPD has released Giles’ mug shot to aid in his apprehension. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket.
