The annual SCAD TVfest is back in action, kicking off with a bang as one of the biggest shows on television, “Stranger Things,” is honored on opening night. The 13th annual festival will commence with Variety presenting Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of the hit Netflix series, with the prestigious Showrunner Award. The award will be presented by star Caleb McLaughlin.

Taking place from Feb. 5-7 in Atlanta, the Savannah College of Art and Design’s festival will feature an impressive lineup of programs from major networks and streaming platforms such as 20th Television, Apple TV+, HBO, Netflix, Paramount+, Showtime, and many more. SCAD president and founder Paula Wallace expressed her excitement for the event, stating, “SCADshow lights up Midtown Atlanta this winter with SCAD TVfest: the best of everything new and now on television.”

Industry professionals and TV enthusiasts alike will have the opportunity to attend screenings, panels, and conversations with esteemed actors and creators. Hiroyuki Sanada, known for his work in “Shōgun,” will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, the cast of NBC’s “St. Denis Medical” will receive the Breakthrough Cast Award, with star Allison Tolman and creators Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer in attendance.

Other honorees at the festival include Noah Centineo, Sophie Skelton, Walker Scobell, and Uzo Aduba, who will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the television industry.
