The alleged sex trafficking case involving Long Island teen Emmarae Gervasi continues to unfold, with more arrests expected in the coming days. According to a source close to the investigation, Suffolk County police are looking into several other individuals believed to be involved in the trafficking ring. Detectives are working diligently to gather evidence against these suspects to secure convictions.

Gervasi, a 14-year-old girl, went missing from her home in Patchogue on December 9th. Surveillance footage captured her leaving her residence barefoot and getting into a car. Her ankle bracelet, which she had been wearing, was later found cut and discarded nearby.

On January 3rd, Gervasi’s father, Frank Gervasi, located his daughter on a 56-foot yacht docked in Islip, approximately 13 miles from their home. Acting on a tip about her whereabouts, he rescued her from the vessel.

So far, eight individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Francis Buckheit, the owner of the boat, and Alton Harrell face charges of rape, child endangerment, and kidnapping. Bunice Knight has been charged with second-degree rape, child endangerment, and multiple counts of selling controlled substances. Additionally, Daniel Burke and Robert Eccleston face charges of kidnapping, rape, and child endangerment.

Two women, Jacquelyn Comiskey and Elizabeth Hunter, were recently arrested on charges of sex trafficking and child endangerment. Kevin McDonald is accused of raping Gervasi in a car the day after her disappearance.

All the defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working tirelessly to bring all those involved in the trafficking of Emmarae Gervasi to justice.
