Authorities have labeled this disgruntled ex as a brick-faced deceiver.
In Florida, a woman was captured on camera tossing a commemorative “first date” brick through her ex-husband’s window at the end of last month, despite repeatedly denying any involvement in the act, as per police reports.
Sabrina Coyne, aged 34, was taken into custody around 11 p.m. on Jan. 24 after Lee County Sheriff deputies confronted her outside her ex’s residence in Bonita Springs, according to official footage released by the authorities.
Upon the initial arrival of law enforcement at the scene, one deputy questioned Coyne, who was dressed in a short dress and high heels, about why she was banging on the front door.
“I banged on the door because he wouldn’t let me in,” she responded, as per bodycam footage.
She insisted that she resided at the property, although authorities disputed this claim. Furthermore, she denied hurling anything through the window, despite surveillance footage indicating otherwise.
Video evidence supplied by the sheriff’s office depicted her launching the object with her left hand, akin to a subpar shot putter, while seemingly recording the action on her phone with her right hand.
A loud crash could be heard in the video as the brick shattered a window on the side of the house.
The homeowner contacted the authorities upon hearing the loud crash followed by the door banging, as stated by the sheriff’s office.
Bodycam footage showed Coyne persistently pleading her innocence as she was escorted away in handcuffs.
“I did not break the window,” she repeated. “I did not break the window… officer, I did not break the window.”
The brick seemed to commemorate the former couple’s initial date in June 2020 when they enjoyed a jet skiing outing together, according to a photo of the brick shared by the sheriff’s office on their social media platform.
Coyne is currently facing charges of criminal mischief and throwing a deadly object into an occupied dwelling, according to the sheriff’s office.
