Two New Jersey police officers, Brian and Elizabeth DiBiasi, have been arrested for allegedly sharing nude images of themselves with children in the background. Brian was fired from the Hamilton Police Department after being accused of distributing images of suspected child sexual exploitation and abuse material using a messaging app. The investigation began after a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Brian DiBiasi allegedly shared 36 incriminating media files, including nude pictures and videos of his wife with children nearby. Authorities also found chat logs where he mentioned children being present while he and his wife engaged in sexual activities. He was charged with various offenses related to child sexual abuse, while Elizabeth DiBiasi was charged with engaging in conduct that would debauch the morals of a child.
New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin emphasized the seriousness of sexual offenses against children, especially when committed by law enforcement officers. Hamilton’s Mayor Jeff Martin condemned Brian DiBiasi’s actions as abhorrent and stated that they have shaken the community’s sense of security and trust in law enforcement.
It is unclear if Elizabeth DiBiasi is still employed by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. The couple did not provide any comments on the situation. The protection of children from lasting harm is highlighted as a crucial responsibility, and the case serves as a reminder of the dedication and integrity of the majority of law enforcement officers who serve and protect the community every day.
