The stock market in 2025 has shown some promising gains, with the S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, and Dow Jones Industrial Average all posting positive numbers. However, when delving deeper, it is evident that some individual stocks are performing exceptionally well. Two such stocks that investors should take note of are Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) and Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META).

Robinhood, a brokerage platform that allows investors to trade stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), cryptocurrencies, commodities, and more, has seen its stock soar by over 42% year to date and a staggering 387% over the last 12 months. The company’s recent earnings report showcased significant growth, with revenue up 37% year over year, net income turning from a loss to a profit, an increase in customer count, and higher average revenue per user. Additionally, Robinhood is expanding into new areas such as futures trading and prediction markets, which could further boost its revenue and customer base.

On the other hand, Meta Platforms, formerly known as Facebook, has seen its stock rise by nearly 20% year to date and over 50% in the last 12 months. The company’s global reach, with over 3.4 billion daily average users across its apps like Facebook and Instagram, has translated into record revenue, net income, and free cash flow. Meta’s advertising revenue, which accounts for 97% of its total revenue, continues to grow, with revenue per user increasing steadily.

Meta has also been delivering value to shareholders through a $50 billion share repurchase plan and a regular quarterly dividend. The company’s massive scale, coupled with its strong financial performance and shareholder-friendly initiatives, make it a compelling investment option for 2025.

Before making any investment decisions, it is essential to consider all factors and conduct thorough research. The Motley Fool Stock Advisor team has identified the 10 best stocks for investors to buy now, and while Meta Platforms may not be on that list, it has certainly proven to be a solid performer in the past year. With its impressive growth trajectory and shareholder value initiatives, Meta Platforms could continue to be a top stock to own in 2025.

In conclusion, both Robinhood and Meta Platforms have shown strong growth potential and investor appeal in 2025. As the stock market continues to evolve, keeping an eye on these red-hot stocks could prove to be a wise investment strategy.
