Ellis Badr Barboza is gearing up for what he believes will be the toughest fight of his career as he prepares to take on Prajanchai PK Saenchai in Bangkok. The British fighter will be challenging the two-sport world champion for the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 28 at Lumpinee Stadium.

In an interview with Nick Atkin for Bangkok Post, Badr Barboza expressed his confidence in facing the best version of Prajanchai in their upcoming title bout. He emphasized that Prajanchai is wise and experienced enough not to underestimate him in this high-stakes showdown.

“I don’t think he’ll overlook me. I think he’s trained hard. I think if he looks at my last performances in ONE, he’ll know my level. He’s experienced enough to know someone’s level. So I think he’ll have trained hard,” Badr Barboza stated.

With two consecutive wins against Thongpoon PK Saenchai and Aliff Sor Dechapan under his belt, a victory over Prajanchai could solidify Badr Barboza’s status as one of the top strikers of his generation. However, Prajanchai poses a significant challenge with his impressive professional record of 343-52-3, including multiple world titles at Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadium.

Prajanchai is also the current ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion, adding another layer of complexity to the upcoming fight. Fans can catch Badr Barboza’s career-defining matchup against Prajanchai, along with the entire ONE Fight Night 28 event, live and free on Prime Video for subscribers in the United States and Canada.

In a separate interview, Badr Barboza expressed his determination not only to claim the world title but also to silence any doubts or critics he may have. He confidently stated that he is prepared to emerge victorious and take home the gold, leaving his detractors speechless in the process.

“I’m very confident. I would not accept the fight if I was not confident. I’m ready to silence doubters and take the gold,” Barboza affirmed.

As the anticipation builds for the epic showdown between Ellis Badr Barboza and Prajanchai PK Saenchai, fans are eager to witness the clash of these two talented fighters in the ring. Stay tuned for what promises to be a thrilling and unforgettable night of world-class Muay Thai action at ONE Fight Night 28.
