A New Jersey attorney and Miami yacht club owner turned himself in to police after being wanted for allegedly assaulting a man inside a nightclub on New Year’s Day.
Michael Lupolover, 43, confronted the man at Queen Miami Beach nightclub, allegedly telling him he did not belong there and flipping his middle finger at the victim throughout the night, according to a report by Local 10.
After the altercation, Lupolover is accused of hitting the man on the head with a glass cup, causing a laceration above his right eye.
He then fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, leaving the victim bleeding.
Witnesses and surveillance video corroborated the victim’s accusations, and Lupolover turned himself in to Miami Beach Police Department, facing an aggravated battery charge.
During a hearing, he was ordered to be held on a $5,000 bond and stay away from the victim.
Lupolover is the founder of Lupo Yacht Club in Miami, offering luxury yacht charters with membership fees starting at $5,000 a month.
The club owns three vessels worth $3 million and has expanded its coverage to include the Bahamas, Sunny Isles, and South Florida.
In addition to his yachting business, Lupolover runs a law firm in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, specializing in personal and business debt relief.
He is a licensed attorney in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, DC, as mentioned on his LinkedIn profile.
