After 137 years, the mystery of Jack the Ripper may have finally been solved by British historian Russell Edwards. Edwards claims to have identified the infamous serial killer responsible for the brutal murders of at least five women based on evidence recovered from one of the victims, Catherine Eddowes.

In 2007, Edwards purchased a shawl belonging to Eddowes, which contained blood and semen. Through forensic testing, DNA from two separate individuals was found on the shawl. The DNA matched with a descendant of the female victim and a Polish immigrant, leading to the identification of the killer as Aaron Kosminski.

Kosminski, born in Poland in 1865, immigrated to London in the 1880s and lived near the murder scenes. Despite some scientists disputing the testing process, Edwards firmly believes that Kosminski is Jack the Ripper.
