The incident that took place at a Wingstop in Port St. Lucie, Florida, has shocked many after a video surfaced showing the restaurant manager, Carnael Irene, allegedly throwing hot grease at two customers during a heated argument. The security footage from Jan. 28 captured the intense clash between Irene and the female patrons as tempers flared.

In the video, Irene can be seen behind the pick-up counter, engaging in a verbal altercation with the customers. At one point, she even squirts ranch dressing at the pair in an attempt to escalate the situation. Another employee is seen trying to restrain Irene as the argument intensifies.

As the confrontation escalates, the customers retaliate by tossing straws over the counter. In a shocking turn of events, Irene disappears briefly only to return with a metal container of cooking oil, which she hurls at the customers. The hot grease splatters on the floor of the restaurant, causing burns on the skin of the two patrons.

Police were called to the scene and Irene was subsequently arrested. The Port St. Lucie Police Department reported that one of the victims was a minor, further complicating the situation. Irene admitted to police that she became agitated when the customers were loud, disruptive, verbally abusive, and insulted her financial status by calling her broke.

Charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated battery, Irene now faces legal repercussions for her actions. It is still uncertain whether she remains employed at the Wingstop location. Despite several attempts to reach out for comment, Wingstop has not responded to inquiries regarding the incident.

The disturbing incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining professionalism in the workplace and handling conflicts in a non-violent manner. The safety and well-being of customers should always be a top priority for restaurant staff, and incidents like this should not be taken lightly.
